Seared Tuna Steak

 Ingredients

  • 2 lb. Fresh Tuna Steak - 1 inch thick
  • 2 Can Mixed beans
  • 1/2 Red Onion (shaved thin)
  • 1/2 cup Peppercorn Marinade
  • 1 Cup Cherry Tomatoes

Bean Salad Dressing  Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup peppercorn marinade
  • 1 tablespoon cilantro minced
  • 2 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup lemon Juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Directions

  1. Coat the tuna steak with peppercorn and set aside for 20 min.
  2. Drain beans in colander.
  3. Place beans in a bowl, add cherry tomatoes cut in halves, shaved onions.
  4. Mix together dressing for bean salad, peppercorn, white vinegar, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, sugar and cilantro.
  5. Combine beans and dressing.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for 1/2 hour.
  7. Heat a non stick skillet over high heat.
  8. Remove the tuna steaks form marinade and sear them for 1 1/2 minute on each side.
  9. Remove from skillet and rest for 10 minutes.
  10. Slice tuna into 1/4- inch thick slices.
  11. Plate with bean salad.
  12. Pour extra dressing over tuna and serve
